GLOWY GLOWY GLOWY GLOWY
Third commission for MISTAAAAAAAAAAAAAH KIRBOPHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
And I know CZ-Backlash was next, but I needed info, got it, and was already near done with this piece, so figured I'd finish it.
This was paid for WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back at Otakon 2006. He more or less gave me free reign to do what I wanted with it so long as it involved two TTA characters. I tell you what, I had...still HAVE...a lot of ideas as to what I wanted to do. Two of which will see light one day, actually. But eventually settled on what I think is one of the best parts in TTA to date.
Should I really mark for spoilers? Ya'll shoulda seen by now.
The final scene between GameCrazed and Motherboard within the D-Bug's flames really impressed me, from the delivery given by both their voice actors, everyone's favorite Wise Mankey playing GameCrazed and Haushinka giving life to Motherboard, to the overall feeling of the scene. Most people may have gotten a feeling of incompletion from it, but I saw it as one of those "leave it to the imagination" endings that are usually seen in most other animes. The kind that leave you wondering, yet with some sort of completion as well.
Motherboard's hair was a touch difficult to really capture without the, as I like to affectionately call it, GLOWY GLOWY GLOWY GLOWY the animated model provides. And in all honesty, it kinda looks like she streaks it something fierce. I should prolly have left a bit more of the yellow portion, much like how it is on her character sheet. GameCrazed was suprisingly fun to color and I was really getting into it, but once I reached the legs and started to get confused as to where I thought the light was coming from (all around), it kinda derailed. :/
I had to RAPE Poser 4 to get the overall pose. Motherboard's positioning was the defining factor as to whether or not you'd see GC's feet and I originally hadn't sketched them out. He had different feet in both pieces this form of him were in, so I decided not to go with the Ninja Turtle feet and more along the lines of the shoe-like ones. Having to had added them in at the last minute, forgive their being crappy.
In the scene itself, they were just in some sort of purple void. I knew that wouldn't fly, so I added some flame like streaks, kind of as if the void itself were moving. I guess?
In closing, I rather like drawing Motherboard. So what if she's heavily influenced off of Serenade from Megaman Battle Network (in all honesty, there are a few noticeable changes. Hell, it's no different from the SR version of Lina Inverse).
