Hey, Mankey. All that time drawing myself shirtless in those Turnabout pics payed off, eh? Take THAT.
Eleventh commission for a Mankey. Some of you may not know or recall this, but I irregularly run something of an E-Fed called the Ultramix Wrestling Alliance, UWA for short. In each of it's two rosters, much like Raw and SmackDown! are various characters belonging to friends of mine along with characters of my own, such as the Rogue's Gallery en masse save for Mr. O.M.A. Once upon a time at the UWA Pay Per View, No Remorse, The Wise Mankey was slated to fight then World Heavyweight Champion Lorelei for the strap when he was attacked by her cohorts in the Dudley Empire, Ryno and Carlito (Yes, THAT Carlito). He was beaten to a pulp and beyond, and it seemed like the much anticipated title match wasn't going to happen, but just as Mick Foley did when he was chucked off the Hell In A Cell by The Undertaker at King of the Ring, Mankey staggered back to the ring and met the champ. The match was a fierce one, but in the end, Mankey made good of his threats to overthrow the Empire, defeated Lorelei that night and became the new UWA World Heavyweight Champion.
So what Mankey wanted me to do was relive that night more to his vision. Much like when Sting defeated Hollywood Hogan to finally wrest the World Heavyweight Championship away from the nWo, he envisioned a victory where members of the UWA locker room celebrate his taking the title from the Dudley Empire. However, since he couldn't do such without breaking the five character limit, not to mention making me reach into my screen and killing him from here (XD), he decided to party with four of the Rogues in their UWA forms. Big Nasty, who had and lost a hellacious Last Man Standing match against storied rival The Administrator Ian Jenkins, Nala Navilos, Destiny Rule, who doesn't go through much attire change in the UWA, and Kitty Navilos, who takes on an older appearance.
Now. Some things here aren't what Mankey prolly envisioned. For example, Mank, I know you wear an Edge Army pendant, but unlike you initially though, I HAVEN'T drawn it on you before and images of it do not exist, so I went with the next best thing and gave you a Rated R Superstar one. Plus, the confetti may have actually rained down on your victory, but here, it was HELLA distracting, so I put it in the background and blur'd it a touch. It at least covers up some empty space in the arena.
Speaking of, I have to say that while it may not be how I envisioned doing such, but then again such is beyond my skill level, I think I pulled the arena in the background off decently enough. I have to give an especially big thanks to Kazecat (
). Those wrestling images gave me a good insight as to how to BS up me a crowd and manage to get away with it.
All in all, I rather like how this turned out. I find myself wanting to do more wrestling related pics as I have not done such since the days of Stone Cold Ryoko Hibiki. Maybe sooner, but that's all that comes to mind at the moment. I wouldn't mind doing more. Will time allow? Prolly not. But the passion's still there. That counts for something, right?
